These are the fund's own measures of its results. A multiplier shows how much other money followed the CMF's, not whether the projects found audiences.
The Canada Media Fund (CMF) released its 2025-2026 annual report, titled Ripple Effect, on September 28.
According to the CMF, it invested $338.8 million in 1,248 audiovisual and interactive digital media projects in the fiscal year, plus $6.7 million in 103 industry initiatives. Nearly $42 million of the project total went to interactive digital media. The CMF says every dollar it invested drew $5.75 in private and public financing, producing $1.93 billion in total production activity and nearly 17,000 full-time equivalent jobs.
The report also gives a regional breakdown covering six areas, from Atlantic Canada to the North. This year the CMF published it together with a new Demographic Dashboard on who is represented across its programs.
